Private Jet Charter from Los Angeles
Three airports serve the Los Angeles metro area for charter departures. Every route includes pilot-analyzed pricing and aircraft recommendations.
Los Angeles Departure Airports
| Airport | Code | Distance | FBO | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Van Nuys Airport | KVNY | 20 mi from downtown LA | Signature Flight Support | Busiest GA airport in the world. Default for LA charters. |
| Hollywood Burbank Airport | KBUR | 12 mi from downtown LA | Atlantic Aviation | Closer to downtown and the studios. Noise curfew 10 PM to 7 AM. |
| John Wayne Airport | KSNA | 40 mi from downtown LA | ACI Jet | Orange County clients. 5,701 ft runway limits some aircraft. |
Van Nuys handles more GA traffic than any airport in the country. It is the default for LA charters because every operator is based there and positioning costs are zero. Burbank is closer to downtown and the entertainment industry, but the noise curfew limits late departures. John Wayne works for Orange County but the short runway restricts larger aircraft.
